Thanks to correspondent Lauren Wanko, NJTV News, for continuing to shed light on the “Silent Thief of Sight,” during Glaucoma Awareness Month. Ralph G. Del Negro, D.O. was featured throughout Wanko’s glaucoma segment, which aired on NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams. Dr. Del Negro discussed glaucoma, prevention and early detection, the subtleties of the disease, and various treatment options. As Dr. Del Negro explained, there is no cure for glaucoma – so the emphasis is placed on early detection and adhering to a customized treatment plan.
